Gillian Kohn is a jazz vocalist based out of Charleston, South Carolina.
With a repertoire spanning the decades, from the 1920s to present day, Gillian takes listeners on a musical journey back in time.
In October 2025, Gillian had the distinct honor of performing with legendary American drummer, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie (Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, James Brown).
A two-time “Best Female Vocalist” finalist in the Charleston City Paper’s “Best Of” competition, she is currently on residency every Wednesday night from 5-6:30 pm at The Spectator Hotel, a five-star boutique hotel in historic Charleston, South Carolina. (See segment on Hotels ByDesign early 2025.)
