Gillian Kohn is a jazz vocalist based out of Charleston, South Carolina.
With a repertoire spanning the decades, from Early Jazz to Swing Era to sultry Bossa Nova to The Carpenters, Gillian takes listeners on a musical journey back in time.
In October 2025, Gillian had the distinct honor of performing with legendary American drummer, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie (Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, James Brown). What a dream come true!
A two-time “Best Female Vocalist” finalist in the Charleston City Paper’s “Best Of” competition, she has most recently been on residency at The Spectator Hotel, a five-star boutique hotel in historic Charleston, South Carolina. (See segment on Hotels ByDesign early 2025.)
